Aviação em Revista first issue run in February, 1938. At that time, it was headquartered in Rio de Janeiro. The magazine has been issued for 65 years.
That is a cornerstone which places the publication among the most traditional of its kind, worldwide. By the time Aviação em Revista first issue circulated, aviation experienced a phase of euphory for the great records and immense technical progresses achieved.
But the 2nd World War shadow also cast itself on the horizon. In Brazil, aeronautic industry was booming. Government set a bidding for the construction of an airplane factory in Lagoa Santa and the enterpreuner Henrique Lage established, in Viana Island, Rio de Janeiro, a workshop to assemble the training aircraft designed by Cap. Guedes Muniz.
Since that time, during war or peace, Aviação em Revista has been issued and continues to inform its readership about the aeronautic happenings and progresses.
